Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers reportedly held talks over signing the forward last week.

Rangers are ‘closing in’ on the signing of Greg Stewart, according to The Express.
The Daily Record reported last week that Rangers had held talks with Stewart’s parent club Birmingham City over signing the 29-year-old attacker, who is on loan at Aberdeen.
But according to The Express, Gers boss Steven Gerrard is now close to sealing a pre-contract deal for the Scottish forward, yet to be capped by his country.
The Ibrox club have already snapped up Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones on a similar agreement, as well as Glen Kamara who wound up moving to Glasgow early.
But it seems like Rangers could yet face competition from Stewart’s loan club after Dons boss Derek McInnes confirmed his desire to sign him on a long-term basis [Press and Journal].
Stewart is yet to score in any of his 12 games for the Pittodrie club following his move in January, having netted eight in 16 Premiership outings for Kilmarnock during the first half of the season.
The Birmingham-owned player, out of contract at St Andrew’s this summer, moved south of the border after a successful stint with Dundee until 2016.
