According to a report in The Scottish Sun, Rangers are close to bringing Joe Aribo to Ibrox.
The midfielder is out of contract at Charlton Athletic this summer and is available on a free transfer.
It has been reported in Football.London that talks between Rangers and Aribo are progressing well, and a report in The Scottish Sun states that Steven Gerrard’s side are set to win the race for the in-demand 22-year-old.
According to The Daily Mail, Celtic and Southampton are interested in the youngster, with The Scottish Sun also crediting Neil Lennon’s side with interest in the midfielder.
Good signing for Rangers?
Aribo is a very good and promising young midfielder who played a key role in Charlton winning promotion to the Championship from League One via the playoffs.

Rangers have a strong midfield, but a player like Aribo who is dynamic, energetic and young is only going to enhance the quality of the current Gers’ team.
Rangers finished second in the Scottish Premiership table this past season and will be aiming to challenge Celtic for the league title next season.
