Rangers are seemingly close to securing a deal to bring Matt Gilks to Ibrox.

According to STV and BBC Sport, former Burnley goalkeeper Matt Gilks has arrived in Glasgow to hold talks with Rangers about a move to Ibrox.
Having won promotion back to the Scottish Premiership, it’s been no surprise at all to see Rangers be busy in the transfer market, with a raft of players already signed.
Clint Hill became the latest new face on Friday, joining Matt Crooks, Josh Windass, Jordan Rossiter and Joey Barton at Ibrox in what is proving to be a busy summer for manager Mark Warburton.
Warburton now appears to be turning his attention to other areas, and having released goalkeeper Cammy Bell from his contract earlier today, a new shot stopper appears to be top of the priority list as Rangers seek a backup to Wes Foderingham.
Now, STV and BBC Sport report that former Burnley goalkeeper Matt Gilks has travelled up to Glasgow today in order to hold talks with the Gers about a move to Ibrox.
The 34-year-old, who has three caps for Scotland, is a free agent having been released by Burnley at the end of last season, bringing his two-year stint at Turf Moor to an end with just two appearances to his name for the Clarets.
Now, the Rochdale-born goalkeeper, who has Premier League experience with Blackpool, has travelled up to Glasgow today to hold talks with Warburton’s men.
With vast experience, Gilks would represent a veteran presence behind first-choice goalkeeper Foderingham, and on a free transfer he could be a smart signing for Rangers, with a deal seemingly moving closer this afternoon.
