Rangers are reportedly releasing analyst Neil McIlhargey.

According to the Daily Mail, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has allowed Head of Analysis Neil McIlhargey to leave the club, almost three years since Mark Warburton landed him.
The Gers are undergoing major changes this summer, and having appointed Liverpool legend Gerrard as their new manager, Rangers are undergoing a revolution both on and off the pitch.

Gerrard has overseen five summer signings already as Allan McGregor, Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic, Scott Arfield and Ovie Ejaria have all arrived at Ibrox, and now there are changes to the backroom staff too.
Gerrard has already lured Gary McAllister, Michael Beale, Tom Culshaw and Jordan Milsom as his staff, and now the Daily Mail report that he has allowed Neil McIlhargey to leave Ibrox.
McIlhargey followed Mark Warburton to Rangers in October 2015, reuniting with his former Brentford boss as he was brought to Ibrox as Head of Analysis, in what was a key role for Warburton’s setup.

Whilst Warburton and David Weir acrimoniously exited Ibrox in February 2017, McIlhargey stayed in the job, and continued his analysis work under Pedro Caixinha and Graeme Murty.
Now though, Gerrard has seemingly deemed McIlhargey surplus to requirements, and allowed him to leave Ibrox after nearly three years in the job – and it would be little surprise to see him reunite with Warburton again in the future.
