Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are reportedly keen on the 21-year-old playmaker.

According to The Record [live transfer blog, 11:05], Rangers boss Steven Gerrard personally scouted Everton starlet Kieran Dowell on ‘numerous occasions’ this season.
The Mirror reported on Monday that the Rangers boss was considering a ‘shock loan move’ for the 21-year-old playmaker, who’s valued at £2.6 million [Transfermarkt].
The Gers need a capable number 10 in the January transfer window and it looks like Dowell might be an option for the 38-year-old.
And The Record goes as far as suggesting that Gerrard has gone to watch him play several times this season.
Dowell played for the Toffees’ senior side in the Carabao Cup in October but hasn’t played under Marco Silva since, meaning that the Rangers boss has presumably watched him for the Under-23s.

Gerrard has lacked a proper number 10 for much of the season, since sanctioning Josh Windass’s return to English football and the addition of Dowell would be brilliant as the Blues plot a Premiership shock.
The Ibrox outfit sit top of Scotland’s top flight, though second-placed Celtic have a game in hand.
