Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are interested in signing Jota from Brentford in January.

According to the Daily Record, Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton is personally trying to persuade Jota to move to Ibrox.

Warburton knows Jota well, having linked up with the Spaniard during his time in charge of Brentford.

And the 54-year-old boss is so determined to land the attacking midfielder, that he flew to Spain to discuss the move with Jota face to face.

It is believed that Jota could be available in January, following the expiration of his loan spell at Eibar.

The skilful creator has only six months left on his current deal with Brentford, meaning he could be available for a bargain price.
