According to Tuttomercatoweb, Rangers have made an offer for Real Valladolid forward Sekou Gassama but face competition from Hertha Berlin.
The 6ft 2inch striker joined Valladolid in January on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
But Gassama was immediately loaned out to Spanish second division side Fuenlabrada where he has posted three goals in his first three matches.

The 25-year-old’s impressive form has reportedly attracted interest from across Europe.
TMW claim Rangers have offered £2.7 million to sign him this summer, while Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin are also keen on the Spanish-born Senegalese man.
The global health crisis has resulted in the Scottish Premiership ending early, with Rangers finishing in second spot behind Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Steven Gerrard will be hoping his side can put up a greater challenge to Celtic next season, and further attacking options could be the way to go for the Ibrox club.
Jermain Defoe will join Rangers on a permanent contract this summer, but at 37, it remains to be seen how many games the former West Ham United player will start.
Rangers will want to retain the services of Alfredo Morelos. The Colombian, however, has faced disciplinary issues while his record against Celtic must improve.
Gassama could offer a different prospect up top at Ibrox. Standing at 6ft 2inch, he is strong, energetic and judging by his recent form is clinical in-front of goal.
