According to Sportske Novosti, Rangers are back in for Osijek striker Mirko Maric as they consider life after Alfredo Morelos.
It’s claimed that whilst Osijek intend to keep all of their best players, it’s feared that Maric is heading to Rangers.
There is no confirmation, and Osijek still hope to keep him having given him a new contract earlier this year, but Rangers are back in the mix.
Maric, 25, enjoyed a stunning season over in Croatia, smashing 22 goals and six assists in 40 games for Osijek.
A tall, physical target man, Maric – who has two caps for Croatia – would fit the target man mould that Steven Gerrard is seeking.
Rangers had Florian Kamberi in that role in the second half of the season, with Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes also linked with filling that spot.

It now seems to be Maric that could be coming in, and he will join former Osijek teammate Borna Barisic at Ibrox if he does make the move.
Maric has been on the Rangers radar for some time, as they looked at him last summer too according to the Daily Record.
Rangers may still seek one more striker, with RMC Sport reporting that Alfredo Morelos could be on his way to Lille, whilst Jermain Defoe is out injured.
