Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers and West Ham United are reportedly interested in Josh Maja of Sunderland.

It has been reported that Rangers – and their bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic – are among a host of clubs keeping tabs on the 20-year-old forward.
West Ham are also reported to be interested in securing the services of the youngster, who is out of contract at Sunderland at the end of the season.
Bargain signing
According to The Sunday People (print edition, page 49, January 20, 2019), Sunderland are willing to sell Maja in the January transfer window, but keep the forward on loan in order to maintain their challenge for automatic promotion from League One to the Championship at the end of the season.

If that is how the Black Cats want to proceed, then it should be attractive for the likes of Rangers, Celtic and West Ham.
According to WhoScored, Maja has made 23 starts and two substitute appearances in League One for Sunderland so far this season, scoring 15 goals in the process.
