Glasgow Rangers have been linked with a potential approach to bring Martin Olsson to Ibrox.

According to a report from Swedish outlet Expressen, Rangers and Nottingham Forest could be amongst the clubs interested in a move for Martin Olsson this summer, with the full-back now a free agent.
The 31-year-old is available after being released by Swansea City following a campaign in which he made 17 Championship appearances before suffering a long-term injury. And it appears that he could now be line for a move to one of their second tier rivals or even Ibrox.
Expressen reports that Forest and Rangers could be interested in the Sweden international, while Fenerbahce have also been linked with the left-back.
Steven Gerrard signing a new left-back this summer would probably not be a huge surprise. Borna Barisic endured a difficult first year with the Gers, and was arguably outshone by both Andy Halliday and Jon Flanagan – neither of whom would consider that position to be their strongest.

It remains to be seen whether Barisic will get another chance next season. But if he is going to be replaced, Olsson would arguably be a great option to consider with almost 200 Premier League appearances under his belt and 48 caps for his country.
Forest meanwhile, do not have many options in that area of the field either, so perhaps they are hoping that Olsson will reject interest from elsewhere in favour of staying in the Championship next season.
