Everton centre-back Lewis Gibson is said to be on the radar of both Rangers and Newcastle United.

Newcastle and Rangers have both been linked with the Everton youngster in recent times, with his contract running down.
Gibson’s current deal expires at the end of the season, and it is thought that Newcastle want to bring him back to St. James’ Park, while Rangers would like him at Ibrox.
However, Steve Bruce and Steven Gerrard’s respective sides are currently losing in the race for his signature.
Ajax and PSV Eindhoven are both said to be ahead of Newcastle and Rangers in the queue for the youngster’s signature.
There has been a rise in the number of English players heading to mainland Europe in the search of more game time.
And it could be that Gibson follows the trend with Ajax’s interest particularly eye catching.

Ajax made last season’s Champions League semi-final and have some of the most exciting crop of youngsters in world football currently breaking through.
It would be a disappointment for Rangers or Newcastle to miss out on a defensive talent who has impressed at under-21 level, but if Gibson did chose either PSV or Ajax it would be understandable, given the two Dutch side’s’ track records for bringing through talent.
