Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard will be travelling with his Rangers squad to the same training complex as Celtic.
The Hoops have spent the last three years training at the Nad al Sheba Sports in Dubai and are due to return again when Scottish football shuts down in the early weeks of January.
Rangers are now on their way too, set to visit for six days between January 6th and 12th.
According to the report, Celtic’s dates are yet to be confirmed.
As quoted by The Scottish Sun, Lennon said back in September about the upcoming trip: “We know that Dubai has worked very well for us before over the past few years.
“It is somewhere that offers excellent facilities and delivers a really good training base at such an important time in the season, so we are delighted to be returning.”
Having spent their last winter break in Tenerife, it seems the Gers will now also benefit from the facilities on offer in Dubai, which have also been used by the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool in the past.
The Ibrox club have confirmed via their official website that they will play a friendly at the end of their training week in the country.
The break will come after a high stakes derby at Celtic Park between the two sides. That’s a fixture that could have big ramifications in the race for the Scottish Premiership title.
One group in Dubai may well be much happier than the other.
