Steven Gerrard’s Rangers and Neil Lennon’s Celtic are both said to be keen on Lawrence Shankland.

According to the Daily Record, both Rangers and Celtic scouted Lawrence Shankland at the weekend.
Rangers and Celtic have been linked with Shankland for some time now, as reported by the Chronicle, with the striker continuing to impress with Dundee United.
Rangers and Celtic both had eyes on Shankland when he was at Ayr but decided to allow Dundee United to sign him in the summer without making a move.
The Old-Firm duo could be regretting that decision now, as Shankland has been in brilliant form.
The forward has hit 15 goals already this term, with Celtic and Rangers both seeing him score a hat-trick at the weekend.
Shankland looks to be playing well below his level, and Celtic and Rangers are now said to be tracking his progress closely.

If the forward was to move to Parkhead or Ibrox in January he would be making a massive step up.
But Shankland has proven to be one of the deadliest finishers in Scotland in recent years, and he could offer Steven Gerrard’s or Neil Lennon’s side an increase in firepower if he was to make the move to Glasgow.
