Dennis Gyamfi has rejected a new contract at Leicester City with Arsenal and Rangers keen to snap up the talented youngster on a free transfer, according to the Mercury.
Brendan Rodgers has already been left infuriated by his former Old Firm neighbours this year, with Calvin Bassey opting to swap the King Power for Ibrox.
And, a month on, another highly-rated Leicester youngster could be about to follow in his footsteps.
Teen talent Gyamfi is now a free agent with his contract at the Premier League high-flyers expiring on June 30.
The Foxes had hoped to tie the Ghanaian down to a long-term deal after he was promoted to Rodgers’ first-team squad and, as the Mercury points out, Gyamfi’s decision to shun fresh terms has come as a major shock.
Though with Ricardo Pereira and James Justin firmly established as Leicester’s top two right-backs, you can understand why Gyamfi would have doubts about whether first-team football could be secured in the Midlands.

The Daily Record claims that Rangers are battling Arsenal for his signature and Ibrox might just be the perfect destination for a player who obviously feels he is ready to make the step up to the senior game.
After all, with Jon Flanagan leaving Glasgow, Rangers have just one first-choice right-back on their books – and captain James Tavernier is not guaranteed to stick around either.
