Rangers are reportedly hoping to bring Joe Worrall to Ibrox today.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers are hoping to secure a deal for Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall today after Steven Gerrard’s talks with Aitor Karanka over the weekend.
The Gers are set to make their 13th signing of the summer after Osijek winger Eros Grezda arrived in Glasgow for a medical last night, with a £2million deal believed to be close.
Grezda would replace the injured Jamie Murphy out wide, and that would leave just the one spot for boss Steven Gerrard to so rectify, with a centre back wanted.
Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic have both starred since arriving at Ibrox this summer, but Gerrard is lacking depth and competition, with another centre back a real priority for weeks now.
Now, the Daily Record report that Rangers are hoping to secure the signature of Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall today, following further talks about a deal over the weekend.
It’s claimed that Gerrard spoke to Forest boss Aitor Karanka over the weekend in order to make promises to the Spaniard about Worrall’s playing time, assuring him that he will feature regularly despite the partnership between Katic and Goldson.

Worrall, 21, has emerged as one of the top young English defenders in recent years, but finds himself down the pecking order at Forest following the signing of Michael Hefele on deadline day.
An England Under-21 international with three caps to his name, Worrall has a bright future ahead of him but needs playing time – and Rangers may well give it to him as they hope for a deal today.
