According to The Sunday Post, Rangers are keen on luring Dundee defender Jack Hendry and Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones to Ibrox in January.
The Gers still haven’t found a replacement for Pedro Caixinha, despite sacking the Portuguese boss in October, with the search approaching two months.
Caretaker boss Graeme Murty remains in charge, but he won’t be in charge of transfers, with Director of Football Mark Allen – lured from Manchester City over the summer – taking the lead on signings.
Now, The Sunday Post report that Allen has lined up two targets for the upcoming January transfer window, with Dundee defender Jack Hendry and Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones wanted.
Centre back Hendry, 22, only joined Dundee from Wigan Athletic over the summer, but his impressive performances at Dens Park have triggered major interest in his signature.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Hendry has already been spotted watching Celtic ahead of a possible move to join the Bhoys, with Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Southampton also keen – but Rangers now look set to join the race.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old winger Jones has starred for Kilmarnock since his 2016 move from Middlesbrough, notching seven goals in 67 appearances for Killie.
The new Northern Ireland international looks set to leave Kilmarnock in 2018 amid interest from English clubs, and Rangers are now hoping to fend off the competition to sign two of the Scottish Premiership’s most talented young players.
