Rangers look set to bring Connor Goldson to Ibrox.

According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers have agreed a £3.5million fee with Brighton and Hove Albion for the signature of defender Connor Goldson.
The Gers need major reinforcements this summer in order to equip new manager Steven Gerrard for the challenge ahead, and two new faces have already signed in Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield.
However, at least two centre backs are needed this summer given that neither David Bates nor Russell Martin – two players who played together regularly under Graeme Murty – will be with the club next season.

Rangers have been pursuing Brighton and Hove Albion defender Connor Goldson in recent weeks, having two bids rejected, but the Gers appear to have finally got their man.
The Scottish Sun report that a £3.5million deal has been agreed with Brighton, and the report claims that Goldson’s move to Ibrox is all but confirmed at this stage.
It’s even noted that Gerrard has spoken to Goldson already, telling him his plans for the Ibrox club, and the defender has seemingly got on board with the vision of the new Rangers manager.

Goldson, 25, joined Brighton from hometown club Shrewsbury Town in 2015, and has made more than 40 appearances for the Seagulls, but lost much of 2017 to a heart defect.
With Brighton signing Nigerian international Leon Balogun whilst also targeting Reading’s Liam Moore and already having Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk, Goldson’s days at the Amex Stadium appear to be numbered – and if reports are to be believed, he could be confirmed as a Rangers player very soon.
