According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos could still end up at Lille despite their pursuit of Gent attacker Jonathan David.
It’s claimed that Gent believe Lille will meet their demands for David, having rejected two bids from the Ligue 1 side for their £27million-rated striker.
Lille are prioritising a move for David despite initiating a move for Morelos last week, but that doesn’t mean that Rangers are in the clear yet.
Lille will focus on Morelos if they can’t get David, but are still ‘likely’ to pursue the Rangers star even if David does arrive.
Lille have lost Victor Osimhen to Napoli, whilst Loic Remy has failed two medicals at Benevento, meaning Lille may need not one but two strikers.
David can also play as a number 10, with his versatility possibly appealing, with Morelos more of a classic centre forward who can be a fine goal poacher.

Morelos has smashed 77 goals in 138 games for Rangers, and after three years at Ibrox, he may well be tempted to make a big move to France should Lille offer him one.
Het Laatste Nieuws in Belgium now claim that Rangers have agreed a deal to sign Anderlecht striker Kemar Roofe, which will only raise more questions about Morelos as Lille continue to circle.
