Juventus may be about to put a big dent in Tottenham Hotspur’s reported transfer chase of Matthijs De Ligt, as Calciomercato report the Serie A side will meet Mino Raiola next week.
The super-agent will arrive in Turin to discuss the futures of two of his clients, De Ligt and Federico Bernardeschi. With the Bianconeri eager to lock down both of their futures.
Juventus hope to negotiate new contracts for the pair, and also remove the release clause in De Ligt’s current deal. The 22-year-old has not extended his terms since moving to Italy.

De Ligt penned a £200k-a-week, five-year deal upon joining Juventus from Ajax for £67.5m plus £9m in add-ons in 2019. But his terms include a £126m break clause that will become active from next July. Leaving the Old Lady at risk of losing a key part of their backline.
The 32-cap Netherlands enforcer has started seven of eight Serie A appearances across the Bianconeri’s 12 fixtures this season. He has also opened all four Champions League group stage ties so far. Helping to five clean sheets, including in a 1-0 win over Chelsea.

Juventus to derail Tottenham’s transfer pursuit of De Ligt
Juventus agreeing new terms for De Ligt in their meeting with Raiola could put a big dent in Tottenham’s transfer pursuit of the centre-half Antonio Conte wants in north London.
Reports by Calciomercato.it recently claimed Conte wants to bring several Serie A stars to England after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo. With new wingers and defenders top targets.
Conte hopes to make De Ligt the new pivot of the Tottenham defence by paying Juventus £59m for his transfer. But clearly, the Old Lady are loath to see the Leiderdorp-native leave.
