Mino Raiola is reportedly eager to bring his client Stefan de Vrij to the Premier League this summer, with Newcastle United and Tottenham interested in the defender.
According to CalcioMercato, the Dutch international has been marketed in England as clubs look to make a move for the Inter Milan star in the off-season. De Vrij is set to leave Italy this summer with his contract expiring in 2023.
With the former Lazio star earning a reported £116,000-a-week, it makes sense why Inter are willing to offload De Vrij this summer, and according to reports, both Newcastle and Tottenham are interested in the centre-back.
FC Inter News claim that the Toon and Spurs hold an interest in the Serie A star, who could be set for a move to the Premier League with Raiola looking to engineer a move to England for De Vrij.
The Dutch international is one of many players represented by Raiola who could be on the move this summer, with the two biggest players on the Italian’s team, Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba, also set for transfers in the coming months.
Yet for Newcastle and Tottenham, this news that Raiola wants to sell De Vrij to the Premier League is huge for both clubs, who could do with improving their centre-back options ahead of next season.
Newcastle and Tottenham could go to war over De Vrij

The Dutch centre-back has been one of the best in his position in Italy for some time, with De Vrij playing a key role in Antonio Conte’s Serie A title-win last season, and for Newcastle and Tottenham, a war could explode between the two for the defender.
Indeed, Spurs will find themselves the favourites to sign De Vrij given the Conte factor and on the likelihood they qualify for Europe, yet given Newcastle’s deep financial pockets, they could be able to lure the 30-year-old to the northeast.
