Odd winger Rafik Zekhnini is reportedly in talks with Everton.
According to Norwegian newspaper Varden, Odd winger Rafik Zekhnini has travelled for talks with Everton over a move to Goodison Park.
The Toffees have recently been linked with a move for a Norwegian talent, as The Mirror claim that Valerenga teenager Sander Berge is being lined up for a January move to Merseyside.
However, it seems that another Norwegian prospect is wanted by Ronald Koeman’s men, as Everton close in on a deal to sign Odd winger Rafik Zekhnini.

Zekhnini, 18, has come up through the ranks with hometown club Odd, and after three goals last term, he has notched five goals in 27 appearances this term.
A regular for the Norway youth sides, Zekhnini has over 20 appearances from Under-15 to Under-21 levels for his country, and could now join compatriot Martin Samuelsen (West Ham, on loan at Blackburn) in the top flight.

Norwegian newspaper Varden report that Zekhnini has travelled for talks with Everton as he closes in on a move to England, having been given permission by Odd to discuss an exit.
Director of football Einar Handlykken revealed that Zekhnini wasn’t at a medal reception at Skien City Hall because he was having talks with another club, and having previously rejected offers, the are happy to sell the youngster to the unnamed club, which Varden claim is Everton.
“Rafik is not here today because he has been given permission to travel and meet a club that have shown interest in him,” said Handlykken. “I will not comment on this other than that it is a European top club. We have received bids on him, but can not say anything about which club this is. We will sell him for this bid,” he added.
Zekhnini, a pacey, tricky wide man, added that he is happy with how Odd have handled the situation, whilst agent Jim Solbakken promised that Odd will be suitably compensated with the transfer fee being paid.
“I have been allowed to talk to other clubs, and both I and my family are very happy with how Odd has handled this,” said Zekhnini. “Things happen fast in football.”
