Newcastle United are set to take on Oxford United in the FA Cup at the weekend.
According to a report in the Chronicle, Newcastle United will start with Grant Hanley against Oxford United.
Hanley has not featured for Newcastle since the middle of January, when Rafael Benitez’s side last played in the FA Cup.
The centre-back has failed to dislodge either Ciaran Clark or Jamaal Lascelles in Newcastle’s starting line-up.
However, he is set to be handed another opportunity against Oxford, according to the latest reports.
Newcastle could also give a rare start to Aleksandar Mitrovic, when they travel to the Kassam Stadium at the weekend.
Mitrovic has struggled for game time at Newcastle this season, and picked up an injury in his last appearance against Birmingham City.
The Serbian is available for Benitez’s side’s next match, and could get the nod to start ahead of Daryl Murphy.
Newcastle go into the match against League One side Oxford as the heavy favourites, but will have to guard against complacency if they are to progress.
