According to Calciomercato, there is good news for Leeds in their hunt to sign Cagliari maestro Nahitan Nández.
The Italian news outlet states that Andrea Radrizzani has an excellent relationship with Tommaso Giulini, who is President of the Serie A side.
As a result, Giulini may be willing to negotiate a deal for the 35-cap Uruguay international with Leeds.
Cento Trentuno had previously claimed that the South American would not leave for a ‘normal’ price, suggesting that his €36 million (£31 million) release clause would have to be met.
Now, however, Radrizzani’s relationship with Giulini could see Leeds handed an advantage in the race to sign the 25-year-old.

Bad news for West Ham
That won’t be music to the ears of David Moyes, as West Ham are also believed to be keen on signing Nández.
That was according to Corriere dello Sport.
Of course, West Ham have the lure of Europa League football to offer Cagliari’s No.18.

However, the prospect of working under Marcelo Bielsa for a South American cannot be understated – he is a footballing icon in many parts of the world.
Add in the fact Radrizzani boasts links to Cagliari’s President, and it very much seems as if Leeds have the upper hand in this transfer battle.
