Southampton are looking to appoint a new manager quickly.

According to The Telegraph, Quique Sanchez Flores is a real contender for the vacant Southampton job, though Ralph Hasenhuttl is the top target.
The Saints sacked Mark Hughes earlier today, bringing an end to his reign in charge after the 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Saturday, a game with Southampton actually led 2-0.
With just one win this season, Southampton have been really struggling under Hughes, and it wasn’t a huge surprise to see the Welshman giving his marching orders today.
Southampton will have Kelvin Davis in charge of Wednesday’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur, but they are targeting a swift appointment – and The Telegraph claim Sanchez Flores is now in the mix.
Sanchez Flores, 53, won the Europa League with Atletico Madrid in 2010, and had a one-season stint in English football with Watford during the 2015-16 campaign.

The Spaniard headed home with Espanyol for two years, but is now out of work, with Southampton considering handing him a return to English football as he emerges as a leading name for the job.
However, it’s noted that Sanchez Flores isn’t the first-choice target, with Ralph Hasenhuttl the primary target, but the Spaniard appears to be right in the mix for the job at St Mary’s Stadium.
