According to the Chronicle, Manchester United prodigy Brandon Williams is keen on a move to Newcastle this month.
The Magpies have enquired about a loan move for the 20-year-old, and the Chronicle say there’s a good chance of the deal happening this month.
It is also said that the Red Devils may allow him to leave Old Trafford later in the window, as he struggles for game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Chronicle add that Southampton are also interested.
Williams can operate at left-back, right-back and also at wing-back, which would provide Steve Bruce with a handy option if the move happens.

The Crumpsall-born defender will only join a Premier League club, and Newcastle appeals after positive talks between Bruce and Michael Carrick.
Aside from his versatility, what type of player is Williams?
Well, the Independent quote Solskjaer as calling the academy graduate ‘quick’ as well as someone that can play on both sides.

Elsewhere, Tony Cascarino wrote in his column for The Times that Williams has the ‘swagger to succeed’ as a footballer.
By all accounts, the England Under-21 international is a fine prospect.
In our view, he would be a fine addition to Bruce’s ranks, given his versatility and direct nature.
