The report claims that Hasselbaink will be shown the door if Queens Park Rangers lose against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Queens Park Rangers are lining up Tim Sherwood as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s replacement should the London side lose against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, according to the Sun.
Sherwood, who was strongly linked with the vacant Wolverhampton Wanderers but looks to have lost out to Paul Lambert – the man he replaced at Aston Villa, is good friends with QPR director of football Les Ferdinand, with the pair having played and worked with one another at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 47-year-old is said to have featured on QPR’s list of candidates to succeed Harry Redknapp in February 2015, but the R’s appointed another of Sherwood’s ex Spurs colleagues, Chris Ramsey, instead.
However, it is claimed that QPR will finally turn to Sherwood if Hasselbaink, who has lost back-to-back games and was embroiled in the Telegraph’s recent football-bungs scandal, is stripped of his post.

Having been out of work since leaving Aston Villa in October last year, Sherwood is said to be desperate for a return to management, although the report adds that cut-backs at Loftus Road could dissuade the former Premier League-winning midfielder.
