Queens Park Rangers are on the look out for a replacement for Charlie Austin.
According to a report in The Sun, Queens Park Rangers are keen on signing Bournemouth front man Glenn Murray.
QPR sold Charlie Austin last January, and they are still trying to replace his goals.
Rangers brought in Conor Washington from Peterborough United to help fill the void Austin’s departure left, but the Northern Ireland international is yet to open his goalscoring account for the London club.
QPR also have Sebastian Polter who is able to lead the line, but the German striker has not entirely convinced in his first season in English football.
Murray has been a prolific scorer at Championship level before, and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink reportedly feels he would enhance his attacking options.
QPR are generally targeting young players this summer, but it seems that they could make an exception for Murray.
The 32-year-old striker played 25 times for Bournemouth this past season, scoring on five occasions, but his chances of playing first-team football next term look limited.
The Cherries are likely to invest in their squad again in the upcoming transfer window, and Murray could be allowed to leave, should QPR submit an acceptable offer.
