Queens Park Rangers are keen to offload their top earners this month.

Queens Park Rangers’s Steven Caulker is undergoing a medical ahead of a loan move to Lokomotiv Moscow, according to the Daily Mail.

Caulker arrived at Loftus Road in an £8 million deal two-and-a-half years ago, but was relegated in his maiden campaign with the R’s.

The defender remains one of the club’s top earners, however – taking home in excess of £30,000 a week, the Daily Mirror reports – and still has 18 months to run on his contract.

QPR are therefore desperate to offload him, but with Caulker still recovering from the injury which has ruled him out since October, they have, according to the Daily Mirror, been forced to sound out Russian clubs, with their league on hiatus until March.

And Lokomotiv, who sit 10th in the standings, appear to have taken the bait.

QPR boss Ian Holloway has spent much of this month ridding the club of its high earners, with Sebastian Polter, Sando and Tjaronn Chery all moved on.
