Queens Park Rangers are reportedly keen on Gary Rowett.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Queens Park Rangers are interested in making Gary Rowett their new manager after parting ways with Steve McClaren.
The R’s brought in McClaren as a replacement for Ian Holloway last summer in a move which surprised many, and it just hasn’t worked out.
McClaren won 16 of his 46 games in charge, but QPR have taken just six points in 14 games in 2019, and Saturday’s home defeat to lowly Bolton Wanderers proved to be the final straw.
QPR are still eight points clear of the relegation zone so shouldn’t get dragged into a dogfight, but McClaren’s replacement must now make sure that QPR don’t slide any further.
Now, The Birmingham Mail report that QPR have identified their first target to replace McClaren, as they hold an interest in appointing Gary Rowett as their new boss.
Rowett, 46, has been out of work since early January having been sacked by Stoke City after just nine wins in 29 games in charge of the Potters.

Rowett does though have a strong record before that role, having impressed in charge of Burton Albion, Birmingham City and Derby County, and his work there appears to be the reason why QPR are keen.
Whether Rowett himself is interested is another matter, and QPR will now be waiting to hear whether he’s keen, whilst no doubt considering other targets too.
