The highly-rated pair are attracting a huge amount of attention currently, and it now appears that QPR have joined the queue.

A report in the Daily Record has suggested that Queens Park Rangers are amongst the long list of clubs that are keeping an eye on Dundalk pair Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle.

The pair have enjoyed plenty of success for the League Of Ireland side, and were both rewarded for their efforts by being included in the Republic of Ireland’s most recent squad.

Their performances have forced several clubs to pay attention. The Daily Record reports that Scottish Premiership giants Rangers are ready to battle four Championship sides – including the Hoops and current table-toppers Newcastle – for their signatures.

It appears that it is not just the pair’s form that is forcing clubs to form a queue. The Record adds that Horgan and Boyle are both out of contract with Dundalk next month, so their arrivals would surely not hurt any side’s January transfer budget too much at all.

With QPR currently languishing in the bottom-half of the division, new manager Ian Holloway may be hoping that if they can sign the pair, they can provide the rest of the squad with a lift as they are just six points off the play-off places, so are certainly not out of the running just yet.
