Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose has been linked with Middlesbrough by the Daily Mail.
Rose has fallen completely out of favour at Tottenham, and is facing the prospect of not playing at all until January now.
But Middlesbrough want to offer the full-back and escape route from Spurs, and will hand him the chance to join them on a loan deal.
Whether Rose will be willing to drop into the Championship still remains to be seen, but Spurs will surely be eager to sanction a deal.
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho already has Ben Davies and Sergio Reguilon as his top two choices at left-back, while youngster Dennis Cirkin also seems to be ahead of Rose in the pecking order.

It could be best for all parties if he does move on now, with Boro boss Neil Warnock hopeful of getting a deal over the line.
Rose went to the North East last season, when he spent time on loan at Newcastle United and was hailed as ‘quality’ by Steve Bruce (Daily Mail), so a move to Teeside could appeal.
And he should be a stand out player in the second tier, if he does make the switch.
