Arsenal defender Rob Holding is set to miss their next six games, the Daily Mail suggest.

Holding picked up a hamstring issue just before Arsenal’s game against Manchester City, with the defender having to be taken out of their starting line-up.

Holding has now gone for scans on the problem and the news is not good for Arsenal.

The 25-year-old, who was described as a ‘quality’ footballer by Tony Cascarino on TalkSPORT, is predicted to to be out for the next three to four weeks, which could see him miss their next six games.

If that is to be the case then Arteta will have to rethink his first choice defensive pairing, and it could be that David Luiz is afforded more game time.

Luiz came into Arsenal’s defence against City and performed well, so he is likely to continue to be given the nod.

William Saliba may also have an increased chance of featuring, after making a slow start at the Emirates Stadium following his move from St. Etienne this summer.
