Tommie Hoban should jump at the chance to kick-start his career at Queens Park Rangers.

So impressive was Tommie Hoban’s breakthrough 2012/13 season at Watford, The Standard reported that a number of top flight clubs were monitoring his progress.
it’s fair to say the preceding four years, however, have been a little less kind on the Republic of Ireland youngster. Now aged 23, Hoban is yet to nail down a place in the Watford squad and a move to one of the Premier League’s big hitters appears little more than a pipe dream.

Nonetheless, Hoban could still be on the move this summer as he aims to get a stuttering career back on track. London News Online claim that Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway is keen on taking the defender on loan next season.

And Hoban should jump at such a chance. Holloway has been vocal in his search for an experienced Championship defender and, although the versatile stopper has been far from a regular in recent seasons, he is more than proven at this level.
In fact, during a short-term loan at struggling Blackburn Rovers last season, Hoban was one of the stand-out players of an otherwise underperforming outfit until a dislocated shoulder brought a premature end to his season and paved the way for Blackburn’s relegation.

And QPR, who finished one point above the bottom three and conceded more goals than relegated duo Blackburn and Wigan Athletic, could benefit from Hoban’s composure and innate positional awareness.
