Nottingham Forest winger Albert Adomah is Queens Park Rangers’ top transfer target but former Aston Villa youngster Andre Green is also an option, according to West London Sport.

While Bright Osayi-Samuel looks increasingly likely to spend another season flying down the flanks at Loftus Road after turning down a near £5 million move to Club Brugge, that hasn’t stopped QPR from scouring the market for another proven Championship wideman.

22-year-old Green has been without a club since his Villa contract expired in June and, strangely enough, has yet to find employment.

That could soon change, however, with QPR showing an interest in a man who impressed during a loan spell in the second tier with Charlton Athletic last term.

“What’s refreshing about him is he has got that natural pace and he’s got a real good chance (of making it),” his former Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce told the BBC in 2017, when Green was tipped for a bright future in claret and blue.

“He looks a very good young player at the moment.”

QPR coach Mark Warburton has coaxed the mercurial best out of Eberechi Eze, Ilias Chair and Bright-Samuel at Loftus Road and the smart money would be on him repeating the trick with Green.

WLS, however, reports that QPR see Green as a back-up option, with a man ten years his senior their first-choice target.

Adomah has one year left on his contract at Nottingham Forest but will hope an agreement can be reached to terminate his deal after being left out of Sabri Lamouchi’s squad for all three of the club’s Championship fixtures this season.

The former Aston Villa and Bristol City flyer is a boyhood QPR fan and you would imagine he would jump at the chance to pull on those blue-and-white hoops at long last.
