Report: QPR to sign Matt Smith from Manchester City

According to London Football News, Queens Park Rangers will sign Matt Smith from Manchester City after completing the loan signing of Luke Amos from Tottenham Hotspur.

As announced on QPR’s official website this afternoon, Rangers have secured the services of 22-year-old midfielder on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Tottenham.

The Championship club are reportedly set to make a second loan signing from another Premier League club.

According to London Football News, QPR have agreed a deal in principle to sign 19-year-old Wales international defensive midfielder from Premier League champions City on a loan deal.

The report has also claimed of interest in the teenager from Charlton Athletic, but QPR have reported beaten the Addicks to the signature of the 19-year-old.

Smith is a very talented and promising young defensive midfielder who would be a very good addition to the Rangers team.

The youngster spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Dutch club FC Twente, and he progressed well in the Netherlands.
