Danny Graham was relegated from the Championship with Blackburn Rovers last season but could he be on his way back with Queens Park Rangers?

Queens Park Rangers supporters might have hoped for a bit more activity in this summer’s transfer window. Ian Holloway’s side have only brought in five new players during the transfer window, with only Linfield talent Paul Smyth costing a transfer fee – and a minimal one at that.
However, with just a day to go before the close of the transfer window, QPR are at least making an effort to reinforce their attacking ranks. GetWestLondon report that QPR are in the market for a new striker and, rather helpfully, have been offered the chance to sign Blackburn Rovers’ Danny Graham.

Graham is understood to want a move back to the second tier after suffering relegation with Rovers last season and would cost just £750,000 as he has one year remaining on his contract.
Therefore, the 32-year-old would look a fine addition on paper. Graham has considerable Championship pedigree following spells at Wolves, Middlesbrough and Blackburn.

In fact, despite Blackburn tumbling into the third tier for the first time in 37 years, the Gateshead-born frontman still enjoyed an impressive campaign on a personal level. He scored 12 goals in 28 appearances.
And Graham would be a welcome addition at Loftus Road. QPR have a number of strikers on their books, including Connor Washington, Matt Smith and Idrissa Sylla, but doubts persist about whether any of the aforementioned trio could be anything more than sporadic goalscorers at Championship level.
Graham’s reputation, and modest price tag, should make him a solid addition.
