Millwall winger Fred Onyedinma is reportedly set to join Queens Park Rangers, despite interest from Hull City and Watford.

According to the Football League Paper (p5), Queens Park Rangers are poised to raid Millwall by snapping up winger Fred Onyedinma this summer.

R’s boss Ian Holloway was busy during the January transfer window, bringing Sean Goss, Luke Freeman, Ravel Morrison, Kazenga Lua Lua and Matt Smith to the club, and Holloway has overseen an upturn in QPR’s fortunes.

Whilst The R’s have lost their last three games, they are all but safe from relegation, and Holloway can begin plotting the club’s summer transfer activity, with one player believed to be on the QPR already.

The Football League Paper (p5) report that QPR have set their sights on landing Millwall winger Fred Onyedinma, and are allegedly poised to complete his signature when his contract expires this summer.

Onyedinma, 20, has come up through the rank at The New Den, and made his first ever start for the Lions under current QPR boss Holloway, featuring against London rivals Charlton Athletic in 2014.

Now a first-team regular under Neil Harris, Onyedinma has registered six goals in 51 appearances this season, but rejected the club’s attempts to keep him beyond this summer, when his contract expires.

It’s claimed that QPR will now sign Onyedinma when his deal ends, reuniting him with Holloway, but they will have to pay compensation given that he is just 20.

A pacey wide man with three league assists this season, Onyedinma is allegedly wanted by Hull and Watford too, but it’s stated that he is set to reunite with Holloway instead in an exciting move for the R’s.

Do you think Onyedinma would be a good signing for QPR?
