The 36-year-old defender has impressed at Queens Park Rangers but fellow Championship clubs Nottingham Forest and Norwich City have been linked with a move.

A report has claimed that QPR are on the verge of finalising a contract extension for Angel Rangel.
The former Swansea City right-back joined the Championship side in August 2018 on a free transfer, penning a five-month contract, as stated by QPR’s official website.
Rangel has since established himself as an important player for the R’s and has even contributed some goals, bagging a brace in a 2-2 draw at Stoke City last month.
However, the 36-year-old’s impressive form could have proven a double-edged sword for QPR, putting him in the shop window ahead of the January transfer window.
According to The Mirror (17 November, page 63), Nottingham Forest and Norwich City were tipped to move for Rangel when his Loftus Road deal expired in the winter.
Following the emergence of the above report, a number of QPR fans took to Twitter, voicing their concerns and urging for the player to stay.
Now, the latest development in the Spaniard’s transfer saga could potentially prove to be one of the closing chapters.

West London Sport has claimed that agreement appears to be close between QPR and Rangel, the player seemingly keen to stay put at the club.
In addition, Rangel’s representatives are reportedly due to meet with the R’s on Wednesday, potentially to finalise the deal.
Many R’s fans will be hoping the next update regarding Rangel will come from the club and the player indicating an extension, so they will be eagerly awaiting further developments.
