Queens Park Rangers have made a new bid for Southend United striker Charlie Kelman as they look to beat Championship rivals Swansea City to his signature, according to Echo News.
Mark Warburton’s side aren’t taking no for an answer.
QPR saw their first bid batted away by League Two strugglers Southend last week but, according to reports coming out of Essex, the Londoners have made a new and improved offer for one of the most exciting young forwards in the lower divisions.
Kelman, who also has admirers at Swansea (WLS), was left out of Mark Moseley’s Shrimpers squad during the EFL Trophy defeat to Portsmouth on Tuesday as speculation continues to swirl.
The Basildon-born USA U20 international shot to fame with a goal his idol Wayne Rooney would have been proud of. During a remarkable senior debut in January 2019, he fired a laser-guided rocket into the Plymouth Argyle net from inside his own half.
“Charlie’s been excellent,” former Southend boss Chris Powell told the Echo.

“He trains with us and looks like he’s been with us for years. He belies his age.”
Speaking exclusively to HITC a year ago, Kelman admitted he dreams of sharing a pitch with Rooney before England’s record goalscorer hangs up his boots.
With the former Manchester United captain now pulling the strings at Derby, a move to Championship rivals QPR could turn Kelman’s dream into reality.
