Queens Park Rangers sacked Steve McClaren after one win in 13 Championship games with Lee Bowyer and Tim Sherwood lined up.

Queens Park Rangers have identified Lee Bowyer as a potential replacement for Steve McClaren at Loftus Road, according to The Standard.
McClaren’s erratic spell in the QPR dugout came to an end on Monday morning with the Londoners sitting 17th in the Championship table. They have won just one of their last 13 games and a 2-1 home defeat to crisis-club Bolton Wanderers was the final straw.
And QPR could now go from one of the most experienced coaches around to a bright young tactician who is turning heads in the lower leagues. At just 42, Bowyer is doing a fine job under difficult circumstances at Charlton Athletic.

The Addicks are in the League One play-off places with just a few games remaining. The report adds that Bowyer is out of contract in the summer and is yet to be offered a new deal, which could open the door for a QPR side who admire the former England international’s ability to thrive on a shoestring budget.
The Standard claims that Tim Sherwood is also on QPR’s radar with The Times adding that he is the favoured option of technical director Les Ferdinand, his former Tottenham Hotspur team-mate.
