The reported Wolverhampton Wanderers and Swansea City target is awaiting his first league start of the campaign for Queens Park Rangers.

The Daily Mail reports that Queens Park Rangers are ‘fielding enquiries’ for striker Idrissa Sylla, who ‘has been a target’ for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Swansea City.

Sylla moved to Loftus Road from Anderlecht last summer, after Wolves’ delayed takeover scuppered a switch to Molineux, as reported at the time by The Daily Telegraph.

And though the Guinea international scored 10 goals in his maiden campaign at QPR, he has yet to start a Championship fixture this season, with Connor Washington preferred instead.

Ian Holloway’s side may therefore be open to offers for Sylla, although it is unclear whether or not Wolves, and indeed Swansea, are among those to have allegedly enquired.

According to The Express & Star, Wolves are interested in signing another striker this summer, with their 100 per cent start to the campaign said to have convinced their Chinese owners to release additional funds.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been strongly linked with a move for Sheffield Wednesday’s Jordan Rhodes.
