Queens Park Rangers are expected to complete the signing of Southend United’s Charlie Kelman before Friday’s transfer deadline while Paul Smyth and Conor Masterson could be heading out the door, according to reports in London.
While much of the transfer talk at Loftus Road has focused on the departure of talisman Eberechi Eze, a series of intelligent signings have at least offset that £20 million outgoing.
In Albert Adomah, George Thomas and Rob Dickie, QPR have brought in new, talented players for three key positions, while Macauley Bonne and Lyndon Dykes have already got off the mark in attack.
And, according to the Daily Echo, QPR are now set to seal the signing of one of the Football League’s most talented youngsters before the 16 October deadline.
Kelman, nicknamed ‘Young Wazza’ in his younger days because of striking similarities to a teenage Wayne Rooney, has been linked with a move to Loftus Road for weeks. It seems only a matter of time before the stocky striker is posing in blue and white.

West London Sport claims while Kelman is about to arrive, Smyth and Masterson could be heading out the door.
London neighbours Charlton are keen on Northern Ireland international Smyth – a winger who looks set for another loan spell in League One after helping Wycombe Wanderers secure promotion last term.
Masterson, the former Liverpool youngster, is also available on a short-term deal.
