Les Ferdinand wants to bring former Manchester United youngster Tosin Kehinde to Queens Park Rangers with AllNigeriaSoccer reporting that Randers FC would accept a bid of around £1.2 million.

QPR’s director of football was in attendance as Leicester put four goals past their Danish opponents in the UEFA Conference League round-of-32 first leg tie on February 17.

But it seems that Ferdinand was not at the King Power simply to cheer on the club he represented all the way back in 2003/04.

According to reports, QPR are casting their eye over Kehinde, a one-time Old Trafford prospect and a long-term target of Ferdinand’s.

The 23-year-old winger produced his seventh assist of an impressive season away at Leicester too. He set up Vito Hammershoy-Mistrati’s consolation strike with a perfectly weighted pull-back from the right-hand side.

With Ferdinand watching on from the sidelines, Kehinde made sure to leave a lasting impression.

Is Tosin Kehinde heading back to England?

AllNigeriaSoccer reports that Kehinde is valued at just over £2 million.

Randers, however, are willing to accept offers of around £1.2 million, assuming QPR will step up their pursuit during the summer transfer window.

A right-winger who can also play on the left or through the middle, Kehinde would add another dash of creativity to a side already bursting with technical quality.

In Chris Willock and Ilias Chair, QPR boss Mark Warburton already has two of Championship’s the most gifted attacking talents at his disposal.

It remains to be seen whether Kehinde would arrive to supplement Warburton’s side.

Or whether QPR see him as a potential replacement for one of their twinkle-toed talismen, assuming Willock and Chair will be the subject of offers from clubs higher up the footballing pyramid in the off-season.

“We’ve got some good, young and exciting players,” Ferdinand explains. “I’m worried, come the end of the season, people will be knocking on the door and wanting to take them.”

According to ANS, Kehinde held talks with QPR, as well as Nottingham Forest, Derby County and Brentford, after his Manchester United contract expired in 2018.

A summer siwtch to Loftus Road, then, would be a transfer four years in the making.
