Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis is reportedly eyeing up a host of raids on former club West Bromwich Albion.
According to TEAMtalk, Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis wants to lure Ben Foster and James Morrison to the Riverside Stadium this summer.
Pulis has impressed as Boro boss since replacing Garry Monk as manager in December, and could yet take the club back to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.
No matter what division Boro are in next season, Pulis will be looking for summer signings to boost his squad, and he looks set to return to former club West Bromwich Albion for additions.
Not only is it claimed that he wants Craig Dawson and Chris Brunt, but also goalkeeper Ben Foster and midfielder James Morrison, with the Baggies set to lose players upon their imminent relegation from the Premier League.
Morrison’s return to the Riverside?
Foster is bound to attract interest, given that he has been a solid goalkeeper for many years, though it would raise questions over Darren Randolph’s future with Boro.
The most interesting factor is midfielder Morrison, who featured prominently under Pulis at West Brom and could be in line for a shock return to Boro if Pulis gets his way.
Morrison, now 31, came up through the ranks with Boro having joined in 1998, spending nine years with the club before being sold to West Brom for £1.5million in 2007 (The Northern Echo).
Morrison’s deal is set to expire this summer, but West Brom do hold a one-year option on the contract, and Boro may yet have to pay to bring back a player they offloaded 11 years ago.
