West Bromwich Albion are reportedly keen on striker Marouane Chamakh.
Marouane Chamakh
According to the Birmingham Mail, West Bromwich Albion are plotting a move to sign free agent attacker Marouane Chamakh – and he could play for the club today.
The Baggies allowed Rickie Lambert to join Cardiff City on deadline day, and after a frustrating transfer window, many Tony Pulis may now look to bring in another forward, even after landing Hal Robson-Kanu.

Salomon Rondon and Saido Berahino need support in the final third, and it seems that Pulis is keen to bring in a player he has worked with previously.
The Birmingham Mail report that West Brom are looking into a possible deal for free agent forward Chamakh, who is on the lookout for a new club.

Chamakh, 32, joined Arsenal with high hopes in 2010 after hitting 76 goals in 301 games for Bordeaux, but struggled to match those exploits with the Gunners, scoring just 14 times in 67 appearances.
The Moroccan attacker worked with Pulis at Crystal Palace after leaving the Emirates Stadium, and having been released earlier this summer after scoring 10 goals in 65 games, he could now reunite with Pulis.

It’s stated that Chamakh could play a part in West Brom’s friendly against Indian side Delhi Dynamos, and whilst his participation hasn’t been confirmed, Pulis appears to be making a move to sign him on a free transfer.
Able to sign outside of the transfer window due to his free agent status, Chamakh could add another option to the West Brom attack, and whilst he’s yet to prove himself as a goalscorer in the Premier League, he’s familiar with Pulis’ methods, and that could be a huge factor in the move.
