Celtic are set to tie up the signing of PSG forward Odsonne Edouard.
According to STV, Paris Saint-Germain forward Odsonne Edouard will undergo a medical with Celtic today ahead of penning a season-long loan deal with the Bhoys.
The Bhoys have added midfielders Kundai Benyu and Olivier Ntcham this summer, as well as snapping up wingers Jonny Hayes and Patrick Roberts to boost Brendan Rodgers’ options.
Whilst Rodgers has been looking for another centre back, he has also been searching for an attacking player who can play both out wide and up front, offering versatility across the front line.
Earlier this week, speculation has suggested that Celtic are looking to tie up a loan deal for Paris Saint-Germain forward Odsonne Edouard, and that particular move appears to be close to completion.
STV report that Edouard will be in Glasgow today in order to undergo a medical with Celtic, as the teenager puts the finishing touches to his deadline day move to Celtic Park.
Edouard, 19, has been on the books with PSG since 2011, but has yet to make his first-team debut for the French giants, having spent most of last season on loan with Toulouse, scoring once in 17 games before having his loan spell terminated.
Strong, quick and with dribbling ability, Edouard has 24 goals in 34 caps for France across various youth levels, and PSG will want him to gain valuable playing time with Celtic during his season-long loan deal.
Not only will Edouard give Rodgers another option out wide alongside Roberts, Hayes, Scott Sinclair and James Forrest, but will also provide cover for Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths in attack, something Rodgers was keen to add having missed both strikers over the summer.
