Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could be about to miss out on the signing of Gabri Veiga to Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report.
According to FootMercato, Paris Saint-Germain are confident of getting a deal done with Celta de Vigo over the transfer of Gabri Veiga and beating the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City to his signature.
The report in the French news outlet has claimed that PSG are progressing well in talks with Celta and have already scheduled a medical for the 21-year-old Spanish central midfielder.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester City also want to sign the youngster, but it is PSG who are reportedly set to sign him now.
FootMercato have claimed that although Veiga’s release clause is €40 million (£34.5 million), PSG have “probably managed to negotiate” that amount and are likely to pay less.

Gabri Veiga blow for Liverpool
In our opinion, that PSG are reportedly confident of signing Gabri Veiga will come as a blow for Liverpool.
That’s because the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are seemingly very keen on the Spanish youngster.
90min reported last week that Liverpool are ready to pay Veiga’s release clause of €40 million (£34.5 million) or “pay a little extra if paid in instalments”.
Liverpool have held talks with super agent Pini Zahavi and have told him that they would like to sign Veiga, according to the report.
However, it seems that it is PSG who will now sign the youngster.
The Spanish youngster made 28 starts and eight substitute appearances in La Liga for Celta last season.
Veiga scored 11 goals and gave four assists in those games.
