West Ham United’s Issa Diop is already attracting huge interest.

West Ham United defender Issa Diop is proving to be their summer signing of the summer – but his outstanding performances mean he is already attracting major interest.

The Hammers swooped to land Diop from Toulouse over the summer, and brought him to East London with the intention of him solidifying their defence for years to come.

Many expected Diop to be a little raw; after all, a young defender heading from Ligue 1 straight into a starting role for a Premier League side has overawed some in the past.

However, Diop has been a sensation for the Hammers, and alongside Fabian Balbuena, West Ham finally have a centre back pairing to be proud of for this season and hopefully beyond.

Now though, the Daily Mail report that Paris Saint-Germain are looking to bring Diop back to France already, lining him up for a big move to the capital as Thiago Silva edges towards the end of his career.

The report adds that PSG believe Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is about to rival them for Diop, having called the £22million defender a ‘monster’ when West Ham beat the Red Devils last month.

With youth on his side and exceptional performances already, West Ham could be looking to at least double their money if they did sell Diop, with PSG and United both big spenders.

Yet really, West Ham have finally found a solution to their defensive woes, and should be looking to keep the Frenchman – even with Champions League football potentially on offer for him.
