According to Le Journal du Dimanche, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has confirmed that reported Arsenal target Layvin Kurzawa will leave the club.
The French fullback is out of contract this summer.
Kurzawa has been linked with several clubs. However, a report by Spanish editorial Sport claims the defender favours a move to Arsenal over fellow suitors.
The Gunners may seek a new left-back this summer following Kieran Tierney’s struggles.
The Scotland international only joined from Celtic in 2019. However, a run of niggling injuries and loss of form has placed question marks over his future with the Premier League club.
Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka filled in at left-back prior to the Covid-19 suspension.
The 18-year-old, though, is arguably better off further forward.
Kurzawa would potentially be a big improvement for Arsenal and the former Monaco man’s contract expiry at PSG makes him a possible bargain signing.
The 27-year-old earns £100,000 per week in the French capital.
Speaking to JDD, Leonardo admits PSG are looking to move on some fringe players on high wages and Kurzawa is among five recognisable stars out of contract this summer.
The defender has made just nine league starts and a further three Champions League appearances this term with manager Thomas Tuchel preferring Juan Bernat.
