Arsenal would be wise to have alternatives in mind though and PSG midfielder Soler could one of them.
Claims on the France Blue 100% PSG podcast back in November suggested that Arsenal were keen on signing Soler.
Mikel Arteta appears to have wanted his fellow Spaniard for years now.
Going back to March 2020, just months after Arteta became Arsenal boss, Sky Sports reported that the Spaniard is a real admirer of Soler and wanted to sign him.
El Desmarque then claimed in January 2021 that Arsenal were still interested in Soler and hadn’t left the race for his signature.
As the summer of 2023 approaches, it seems that Arsenal are still looking at Soler as a possible signing.

Le Parisien now report that PSG are considering transfer-listing a number of players.
Advisor Luis Campos isn’t happy with a number of players after their 1-0 defeat to Lyon at the weekend.
As noted by Get French Football News, Soler is one of a host of names at risk of being transfer-listed if his form doesn’t improve.
Vitinha, Renato Sanches, Fabián Ruiz, Juan Bernat, Hugo Ekitike and Sergio Ramos are other names thought to be in danger.
Soler, 26, only joined PSG from Valencia last summer as he finally made a move away from Spain.
This has been a frustrating season though as Soler has only managed 10 league starts for PSG.
Soler has managed six goals in a PSG shirt but seemingly hasn’t done enough to completely convince Campos.
That may give Arsenal a window of opportunity to sign Soler with Arteta allegedly interested.
